My story begins on our family farm where I was born and raised in Southern Illinois. You could say my roots run deep in caring for the land.

I have spent the past 30 years in the horticulture field working in roles from manager, teacher, trainer and mentor. I traveled to other markets within my company teaching flower installation and techniques. My background has been in the areas of Turf Science & Safety, but my main expertise is in floriculture with a focus on perennials and pollinators. I also have a design and pruning background.

As I enter the home stretch of my career, I have carved out a niche called “The Green Man”; offering consultations, design, installation and ongoing gardening to a growing clientele. With my training in communication and knowledge of all thing’s plants, I am poised to offer a close partnership with clients; guiding them through their decisions regarding their own footprint outside their front (or back) doors.
